New Nail trend : Chrome Effect!

how do you do it?

chrome on Gellak

  1. Apply 1 layer of Gellak (curing time 30 sec. The Light or 2 min. UV).
  2. Apply the Chrome Glitter Powder in circular movements on the cured Gellak with the Gelinsky Stampart Brush or the Diamond Silicon Tool (use the Chrome Glitter Powder sparingly and apply on each finger above the jar). The more you rotate and rub the better the Chrome powder will spread over the nail and the stronger the reflecting Chrome effect will be.
  3. Apply the Protech Gloss Finishing Shine on top of the Chrome. (curing time 60sec. The Light or 2 min. UV).
  4. Remove the sticky layer with Non Acetone Polish Remover.

TIP: For extra smooth result (after step 1): Apply a layer of ‘Crystal Seal’ over the cured Gellak colour (cure 60 sec. ‘THE LIGHT’ or 2 min.UV) prior to applying the Chrome Glitter Powder. This will ensure the perfect adhesion surface for the chrome powder resulting in an extra smooth and shiny result. This will also allow the underlying colour to shine through nicer. This is especially important for those working with UV-lamps. As you know, the capacity of UV-lamps reduces over time which will affect the curingtime of the Gellak colour. Insufficiently cured Gellak colours will not give you the nice smooth Chrome effect that you are looking for. Applying a layer of Crystal Seal over thecured Gellak colour will solve this.
